Welcome to our new front-end folks!

There are plenty of projects that have been “Planned” on our Feedback forum for some time, and it’s not because of lack of enthusiasm for them. It often surprises people to learn that we have a very small team and so we don’t always have enough bandwidth to build everything we’d like. That’s why we’re extremely pleased to welcome three new employees to the UserVoice team.

Fred Boursier and Brad Graham are joining us as front-end developers, building much of the great functionality already designed. John Long is joining us as well, designing even more awesome tools alongside our Head of User Experience, Joshua Rudd.

Here’s a little about each team member:

Fred BoursierFred Boursier is a Midwestern transplant by way of Chicago, and fresh to the Bay Area. He comes from an advertising and design background, and is looking forward to contributing to more enduring projects at UserVoice. He feels some level of guilt for working at giant corporations, and is thoroughly excited about UserVoice: “The team is brilliant– everyone is a master of their craft and product, it's really encouraging to see so many people improving a single idea.”

Brad Graham
Brad Graham has a degree in Graphic Design, but his passion is semantics, accessibility, and all other things Front-End. Prior to UserVoice Brad worked for a website development agency based in Washington DC building sites for the myriad of associations in the area. Brad currently lives and works from Chapel Hill, NC. Away from the computer Brad is a passionate fan of the Phillies and Flyers, and tricks himself into exercising by playing Ultimate Frisbee.

John LongJohn Long comes to the team with a background in both programming and design. John's been involved with the Ruby on Rails community since it's inception. He's the creator of Radiant CMS, the first viable open source content management system for Ruby on Rails, and Serve, a rapid prototyping framework for Rails applications. Before coming to UserVoice, John freelanced for several years working with startups and small businesses of all kinds. His clients have included the Pragmatic Programmers, MemberHub.com, and The Scrum Alliance. John lives in Raleigh, NC with his dog Lily.

Please give these guys a warm welcome – they’ll be making many of your UserVoice requests come true!
