This morning, UserVoice experienced extreme slowness and timeouts starting around 9a and resolving around 10:30a. During this time some users would have seen the issue, some may not. This was due to a change we made yesterday to how we handle our widget.
During roughly the same time period, customers clicking Knowledge Base and Feedback content on the left-hand side of the widget would have seen nothing load. We don't believe this affected Instant Answer results or ticket submissions. Again, this was due to a widget enhancement that didn't receive the proper QA. Our widget is a very important piece of the UserVoice puzzle and can have drastic effects, and going forward we will be more focused in our process of changing it.
We're very sorry for the downtime. We screwed up, and we're going to be making sure we don't do it again.
