Campfire service hook: bring customer feedback and team chat together

UserVoice Campfire integration37 Signals is one of the heroes of team collaboration on the web, and their team chat client Campfire is no exception. It allows teammates (even remote ones) to stay connected. But what about your customers? They’re just as important as your coworkers, and we think their voices belong in Campfire too.

That’s why today we’re excited to announce the release of the Campfire web hook, which pushes UserVoice ideas, comments, support tickets, kudos, and status updates directly into Campfire.

The Campfire service hook is available on all plans, even the free ones. You can activate this feature by following the steps in this knowledge base article.

How might you put this feature into use? Here’s three ways:

  • Pipe Helpdesk Kudos into general chat rooms. The worst part of doing customer service is that you don’t get recognized for good work, only bad. Highlight the awesome work your customer service team is doing by posting every time a customer thanks a team member.
  • Pipe Feedback ideas from customers into your Product Management room. There’s nothing like seeing real feedback directly from customers to get you inspired and focused on making a better product.
  • Pipe Helpdesk tickets into their own room, so any of your employees can see what’s up in customer-land. (We found that piping them into a pre-existing chat room was a little too much noise, but to each his own.)
