UserVoice Blog

Activity Limit Changes

Previously we’d based usage limits on the number of users on your forums. This caused a large amount of confusion about what constitutes a user and concerns over being penalized for having users who haven’t given feedback in some time.

We’ve decided to switch to tracking usage based on the number of voters in the last 30 days. The advantages of this are:

  • It’s more clear. Anyone who votes on your forum applies to your count.
  • It’s doesn’t penalize you for users who haven’t returned in a while. You’re not penalized for a voting spike that occurred a few months ago.

Since these are very different numbers than all-time users there is a different usage limit now (ex: on our Bronze plan 10K users => 1K voters / month). If you login to your forum and go to /admin you’ll see a current voter count in the bottom right hand corner.

We hope this change will simplify your experience and encourage ongoing use of your forums. If you have any questions or concerns please let us know and we’ll deal with them straight away.

Thanks for your support,

Im stunned! 4 days ago I wished for a premium service plan for 19USD that includes domain aliasing:
    "
Have a cheap model with just domain aliasing. Say 19$/m
Seems to be the most important aspect for any cash-strapped, self-respecting startup. I would pony up this money for mine!
    "

Ta da! Here it is the TIN plan. Thanks for listening, I will sign up now.
